Using the Required Card Identification (CID)
A CID is a special security code feature on your American Express, Discover, MasterCard or Visa credit card.

How does my CID protect me?
CIDs are not raised, so they are not scanned into standard credit card readers. In theory, these numbers are only visible to you. When you give your CID to a merchant, you assist the merchant in verifying that the order is being placed by you, the card holder.

Why does AG-Industrial, Inc. ask for my CID when I place and order online?
AG-Industrial, Inc requires you to enter your CID whenever you place an order online to help us detect fraudulent use of your card before your account is charged. This simple step allows us to greatly enhance the safety and security of our ordering process. You may receive a call from our Credit Department to verify your order if your CID is missing or invalid.
