Dutchman Tree Spades

Dutchman offers a variety of angles and styles to suit your digging needs. Whether it is 22-degree open-bottom Truncated, 25-degree Semi-Truncated, or 30 degree closed-bottom Full Cone, all Dutchman spades are built on the same simple principles: durability and simplicity. Dutchman tree spades can be mounted on a variety of machines, from walk-behind mini skid-steers, full-size skid-steers and track loaders, up to large wheel loaders and excavators. Each section will explain the key features and differences that allow you to find the right spade for your unique purpose.

20-Inch Series - Dutchman's 20-inch, 22-degree tree spades are produced in both inside and outside frames. This type of spade is great for digging small, 3-4 foot coniferous trees in narrow areas as well as moving small shade trees less than 2-inches. It is also ideal for smaller loaders with limited lift capacity. The spade digs from 20 inches to 18 inches.

24-Inch Series - Dutchmans 24-inch, 22-degree tree spades are produced in both inside and outside frames. This type of spade is great for digging small, 4-5 foot coniferous trees in narrow areas as well as moving small, 2.5-inch shade trees. It is also ideal for smaller loaders with limited lift capacity. The spade digs from 26 inches to 20 inches.

28-Inch Series - Dutchman's 28-inch tree spades are produced in a 25-degree model only. This type of spade is great for spacing out small, 4-6 foot coniferous trees as well as moving small, shade trees up to 3-inch. It is ideal for smaller tractors of approximately 50 horsepower or more. Unit digs from 30" to 20".

33-Inch Series - Dutchman's 33-inch tree spades are produced in both 25 and 30-degree models, and are designed to produce an optimum fill in a 32-inch basket. This type of spade is great for digging 6-8 foot coniferous trees as well as moving shade trees from 3-inch to 3.5-inch. It is ideal for tractors of approximately 65 horsepower or more. Unit digs from 34" to 26".

36-Inch Series - Dutchman's 36-inch tree spades are produced in both 25 and 30-degree models, and are designed to produce an optimum 36-inch ball. This type of spade is great when looking to cover trees up to 3.5-inches + in diameter. It ensures successful digging of a 36-inch basket. It is an ideal spade for mid-size tractors of 75 horsepower or more. Unit digs from 38" to 28".

42-Inch Series - Dutchman's 42-inch tree spades are produced in both 25 and 30-degree models, and are designed to produce an optimum 42-inch ball to safely cover trees up to 4-inches. This type of spade can produce a ball close to 43-inches. The interior, low profile frame is designed with a 2 gates and a lock. It is an ideal spade for mid-size tractors of 75 horsepower or more. Unit digs from 42" to 32".

50-Inch Series - Dutchman's 50-inch tree spades are produced in both 25 and 30-degree models and are designed to produce a ball to safely cover trees up to 5-inch in diameter. This type of spade can produce a ball close to 52-inches. The interior, low profile frame is designed with a 2 gates and a lock. It is an ideal, compact spade fora 90 horsepower or greater tractor. Unit digs from 50" to 44". Dutchmans 54-inch tree spades are produced in both 25 and 30-degree models and are designed to produce a ball up to 55-inches. The interior, low profile frame is designed with a 2 gates and a lock. It is an ideal, compact spade when you need a large spade on a tractor of 120 horsepower or more. Unit digs from 54" to 40".

54-Inch Series - Dutchman's 54-inch tree spades are produced in both 25 and 30-degree models and are designed to produce a ball up to 55-inches. The interior, low profile frame is designed with a 2 gates and a lock. It is an ideal, compact spade when you need a large spade on a tractor of 120 horsepower or more. Unit digs from 54" to 40".
